Connecting to samShop
This article will treat you as a first-time user. However, the steps on this list still apply to returning users.
You need a modded 3DS to use samShop. Mod your 3DS here.
Before you connect to samShop, please confirm all of the following:
If you can check all of those boxes, you're ready to go!
1. Patches
Download this patch. This patch is called an SSL Patch and removes restrictions that block connections to unofficial servers.
Rename the file to 0004013000002F02.ips and insert your SD Card into your computer. Navigate to \luma\sysmodules\ and place the patch into that folder. Safely eject your SD Card and reinsert it into your console.
If the \luma\sysmodules folder doesn't exist, you should create it.
Hold SELECT and press Power. You should see the Luma3DS menu.
If you do not see the Luma3DS menu, and instead boot to the HOME Menu, STOP! Your console is not modded. Please follow this guide.
Look at the bottom screen at the yellow text. If it says "Booted from CTRNAND via B9S", STOP! You have not reinserted your SD Card properly, or something may have corrupted your SD Card.
Your top screen should look something like this:

You must make sure that you enable the following:
Once these are both enabled, choose Save and exit. Once in the HOME Menu, navigate to System Settings, Internet Settings, Connection Settings, and choose your main connection slot, then Change Settings. Scroll right and choose Proxy Settings. Choose Yes.

Now choose Detailed Setup and input the following values.

Server status: OFFLINE Reason: Servers have not been activated yet.
Press OK and save the configuration.
STOP! If this is your first time connecting to the Samtendo Network, you will need to be accepted first! Do not initiate a connection test and instead open a ticket in our Discord server! One of our staff will quickly whitelist you. You may want to disable the proxy on the connection slot until instructed to re-enable it, as you will not be able to use the internet on your console while you are not accepted. Being accepted has no requirements other than being level 5 in our server and is only a security measure to prevent bots.
If you have connected to the Samtendo Network before using your current IP address, you can continue with this article.
You can verify your acceptance status with a connection test. If it succeeds, you are confirmed and accepted. If it fails (usually with 003-2102), you most likely have not been accepted yet. If you are confident you are accepted however it still fails, please open a ticket in our Discord server.
Return to the HOME Menu and open Nintendo eShop. If this is your first time using samShop, you will see "The information has been updating. Relaunching" - this is normal and a sign that you are connected! If you do not see this and end up in the official eShop, you have missed something and will need to restart. This can also occur due to a server-sided bug (see here).
Once relaunched, navigate through the menus until you reach the samShop. If you see the Samtendo category on the lower category area, congratulations, you are in the Samtendo samShop!
You are now connected to Samtendo Network. Welcome!
